PAYE Tax reminders for your first month's payment

Near the start of your business you may receive a letter from HMRC reminding you of an outstanding PAYE payment.   This is because, by default, your business' PAYE scheme may be set to 'monthly' PAYE tax payments.  We actually request all PAYE scheme to be set to 'Quarterly' payments but unfortunately HMRC get this wrong on around 50% of cases and send the payment reminders out anyway!

We later send a letter to the tax office to ensure your business is correctly set to quarterly payments which clarifies the situation.

Simply ignore the first reminder (as we will have already acted) but if another arrives please let us know.
